Case study 05 · Higher education & health education

Touro University: Nursing Program Recruitment Campaign

A delivered print brochure for the nursing programs at Touro University’s New York School of Career & Applied Studies, and a campaign concept that carries its message across print, social and web.

Client
Touro University, New York School of Career & Applied Studies
Sector

Deliverable
Nursing program brochure, designed for print, plus a recruitment campaign concept

Services

  • Campaign Creative Direction
  • Graphic Design
  • Brochure Design
  • Print Layout
  • Brand Application
  • Marketing Collateral

01 The challenge

Touro University needed to show the value of its nursing programs in a way that helps future students act. Readers start from different places. Some are beginning their nursing education. Others are changing careers.

Each reader needs to see which path fits, what clinical training looks like, how the school prepares them for licensure and what comes after. All of it had to feel clear, personal and easy to act on.

02 Our approach

PR Brand Marketing designed the brochure and laid it out for print. We then built a career-focused creative direction around one central message: From Classroom to Clinical to Career.

The design uses Touro’s established look, confident type and clear calls to action to connect the student experience with the career that follows. It puts practical training, personal support, program pathways and career readiness up front.

  • Lead with the promise: “Your future in nursing starts here” and four short steps: train, graduate, get licensed, launch your career.
  • Make the choice simple: the Associate Degree in Nursing and the Accelerated BSN sit side by side.
  • Show the whole journey: a step bar and gold pathway arrows carry the reader from first interest to a career.
  • Put key facts where the eye lands: Touro’s own program figures are set as large callouts, always with their footnote.
  • Show real students: the concept pieces lead with nursing students, faculty and hands-on training, using photography from Touro’s public websites, pending Touro approval.
  • Lead with four benefits: hands-on clinical training, personalized faculty support, NCLEX preparation and career readiness, repeated across every piece.
  • Make the next step easy: “Request information” and “Apply now” appear on every piece, with a QR code.

03 The creative solution

A coordinated visual system designed to work across print and digital recruitment channels.

  • Nursing program brochure (delivered): a six-panel tri-fold that walks the student journey from enrollment and clinical education to NCLEX preparation and career readiness.
  • Recruitment flyer (campaign concept): a direct admissions piece for bulletin boards and open houses, with instructor-led clinical training, four key benefits and next steps.
  • Social media campaign (campaign concept): six coordinated posts and a Story, each with its own headline and photo. Awareness, clinical training, career outcomes, career preparation, student support and career changers, with enrollment on the Story.
  • Website banner (campaign concept): a split layout with nursing students in simulation training and two clear calls to action, plus a mobile version.
  • Rack card (campaign concept): a compact two-sided card for admissions events and community outreach, with students in simulation training on the front, and four key benefits and a large QR code on the back.
  • Brand guidelines (campaign concept): an eight-page guide to the logo, color, type, imagery and messaging rules.

04 Deliverables

  • Nursing program tri-fold brochure, designed and laid out for print. Delivered.
  • Campaign brand guidelines, eight-page PDF. Campaign concept.
  • Recruitment flyer, 8.5 x 11 in print PDF. Campaign concept.
  • Six social posts and one Story, 1080 x 1350 and 1080 x 1920 px. Campaign concept.
  • Website banner, 1920 x 650 px desktop and 1080 x 1350 px mobile. Campaign concept.
  • Rack card, 4 x 9 in, two-sided. Campaign concept.

Campaign concept pieces are shown as designed. They have not been produced or approved by Touro. Concept photography comes from Touro’s public websites and is shown for presentation, pending Touro approval.

05 The result

A cohesive recruitment campaign concept that turns detailed academic information into clear, approachable, career-focused messaging. It is designed to build program awareness, show what makes Touro’s nursing programs valuable and encourage future students to take the next step toward enrollment.

From education to opportunity. From interest to action.

Why it matters for public and health-education programs

Public health and prevention programs have the same job as this campaign: explain something important to a specific audience in plain language, and make the next step obvious. The skills behind this work carry over directly to health-education materials for students, families and communities.

  • Turn detailed program information into a clear reading order
  • Design for a specific audience
  • Make key facts easy to find
  • Use plain calls to action that tell people what to do next
  • Carry one message across print, social and web
  • Deliver print-ready materials
